Ardhelia's Daily Dose: ANNA #2

As usual, school was boring. Cassy did make new friends, but they all had one thing in common: they liked Anna better than her. Sure, Anna was nice and everything, but what about Cassy herself? It wasn't like she was ugly or fat, heck, she had lost 10 pounds during the last summer vacation! So, hello... Cassy existed! Sometimes she felt really desperate she just wanted to throw Anna off a cliff. From then let's see if she was still beautiful.
Thank God she didn't have to be with Anna all the time. At P.E., since that Barbie girl wasn't there, Cassy managed to get all the attention, especially since she was so good at sports. Everyone depended on her, and she totally loved that. Finally she felt more worthy than anyone else.
After school Cassy was walking down the halls, scanning the people there, and she spotted Anna, standing in front of her deep-blue painted locker. Immediately Cassy approached her. "Hey, Anna. What're you doing?"
Anna turned and smiled. "Oh, just reading my schedule. I was invited to Grace's pool party this Friday. Did you?"
Cassy's eyebrow twitched. Even though she was popular, she didn't even get to know Grace Dickson, a senior who was the Queen Bee at their school. Grace only wanted to get in touch with people she described as "cool", and sadly, Anna was one of them. Of course she was invited, Cassy thought.
"Cass?"
She smiled. "O-Oh. Yeah, of course. She invited me herself."
"Great! Then we can go together!" Anna beamed. "I was afraid at first that you weren't invited, but, who doesn't know Cassy?"
Grace. Grace doesn't know me, Ann.
After a slightly long pause, Anna patted Cassy's shoulder. "Well, I'm going home now. See you tomorrow."
Cassy watched Anna's figure as she became smaller and smaller and disappeared. Finally, she leaned to Anna's locker and sighed. She just lied to her friend and promised to go with her to a senior's party. But Cassy didn't have the invitation. How can she get in?
I have to do something, she thought.

to be continued...
